I went along to have a look as there were loadsa kitesurfers out many of them training with the local school. Was amazed to see one windsurfer already out on his 6.3 planing in barely a 10 knot breexze. This place reminded me of the aberdovey channel at the mouth of the Aberdovey river. The width of the channel here was 150 metres so it was great practice for carve gybes although quite tiring.
You can only really sail this place on an outgoing tide as the current at mid tide is about 4-5 knots so the effective windspeed for me was about 15 knots which was perfect.
I had a perfect set up and everythiong felt really smooth and to top it off I was making most of my gybes and almost completed some carve gybes but wasn't quite planing on the exit. I was proabbly making 9/10 on the gybes which felt awesome. 3 other windsurfers out and shitloadsa kitesurfers although they had all left after half an hour or so. Great practice for my carve gybes.
